The Family Engagement Center is located just past the vestibule at Northbrook Middle School. The Family Engagement Center is a place where all Northbrook Middle School families are welcomed. Here, families can receive Title I information, review Title I documents, explore parenting resources, and gain information about ways to become more involved in their child’s education. All Title I documents are located in the Family Engagement Center for review. The Parent Instructional Coordinator (PIC) is a staff member who is available to answer questions parents may have about school, grades, promotion requirements, and how to support their child's learning from the living room to the classroom. The PIC can also help with My Payments Plus, the Parent Portal, and Free and Reduced Lunch applications. In addition, Ms. Olivo plans family activities and runs workshops to help support families throughout the year.
Our Family Engagement Center is open Monday-Friday, from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM.
Our Parent Outreach Liaison, Tyra Olivo, is available via phone at (678) 407-7179 or email at Tyra.Olivo@gcpsk12.org.
Our Title 1 AP, Katie Kangas is available at Katie.Kangas@gcpsk12.org.
Title I documents may be accessed on this website or in the Family Engagement Center.
